Hannah played her first organized sport this summer, T-Ball! We signed her up very last minute. We were unsure because she was only old enough by 8 days, making her literally the youngest child in the entire league. I mentioned at sign-ups that Josh would be willing to help out, and by the end of the day, he was the head coach! All-in-all, it was a lot of fun, and we're glad we did it! Hannah had fun and learned a lot, and we got to meet some new people in the community.
Hannah definitely did better than I could have hoped. Turns out she's a pretty good little batter, especially for a four-year-old. Her daddy definitely worked with her, which helped a lot. In T-Ball, you get 5 or so pitches, and then if you don't get a hit, you use the tee. And every player gets two at bats at each game. She had a perfect record of hitting off the pitch until the very last game!!! She was just over it at that point, I think. Whoever made the T-Ball schedule is brilliant. There are 4 weeks of practices, 4 weeks of games, 2 innings per game (about 45 min.). And then it's over. This was the perfect amount of time for Hannah's attention span.
Hannah drew quite a crowd this season! She had the following fans at her games: Papa Ed, Grandma Teresa, Uncle Phil, Aunt Erika, Cousin Hayden, Cousin Hadley, Papa Steve, Great Aunt Sherry, Great Uncle Art, Great Grandpa & Grandma Reeves, Grandma Jody, Uncle Tristan, Aunt Courtney, Uncle Jordan, Cousin Landon, Great Uncle John, Great Aunt Becky, Great Uncle Mike, Great Aunt Mary, Cousin Sammy (she played against his team!), Cousin Zayden, Mike & Kristen Strunga. And many of these fans came to several games!!!
The funniest event of the season was one night when Hannah crossed home plate, the crowd cheered, and she took a bow. She has been my ham since the day she was born. She's such a funny girl. I am really proud of her!
