Halloween 2017

Halloween always feels like a major event around here!  So many things going on, it's crazy!

Hannah made up her own character this year, the "Claire's Kitty".  She got most of the accessories at her Claire's b-day party.  She is growing up:
Jacob was World Series Champion Anthony Rizzo.  We had everything already except the jersey:
Aleah was going to be Rapunzel but changed her mind at the last minute when she saw this Elsa dress at Sam's.  I honestly think she just wanted the snowflake headband:
Lucas wore Jacob's old lion costume, which I loved.  I'm glad we got to use it again:
At Trunk or Treat, Neil put the Frozen soundtrack on for Aleah to sing:

Grandma Teresa had a great trunk with homemade goodies:
Lily, Sophia, Lanie, & Hannah:
Hannah and Anna:
Hannah, Owen, Madelyn:

Jacob & Colby:

Grandma Teresa came to Aleah and Madelyn's Halloween parade at Tuesday school:

I got to be Jacob's head room mom this year.  He was so happy:

Papa Steve came to Catlin to drop off Halloween goodies:
We always end the night with chili at Papa Ed's and Grandma Teresa's:
We only went to 10 houses, but this was (most) of our loot at the end of it all.  Yikes!  It does go faster than you would think with six people in the house though!

Pumpkins

Our friends started a pumpkin farm last year just outside of Catlin, so we headed there for our pumpkins again this year!  We got there just before a major thunderstorm!
We tried to do a picture of just the kids, but Lucas wasn't having it, so Josh and I had to jump in:
Aunt Sherry made these adorable pumpkins for us:
Halloween Day at school:
Daddy helped the big kids carve their pumpkins:

The Darr Farm

We had lots of great times at The Darr Farm this year.  We went there to swim a lot.  We also went and got tomatoes, green beans, pumpkins, and more!  And during harvest, Bruce invited the kids and I to ride the combine!  This is something I had never done, and it was so neat!  We all loved it!

Indy Children's Museum

We wanted to make good use of our membership to the Indianapolis Children's Museum a few more times before it expired, so my mom and I took the kids one day in October, and then a few weeks later, Josh and I took the kids.

Lucas loved the dinosaur room and the changing lights in the ceiling:

The new circus display was really neat:

We got to see a Chinese orchestra live:

The museum is adding an awesome new sports complex in 2018, so we will have to do a membership again sometime soon!  It's always a fun day!
