Halloween Field Trip & School Parties

I got to spend a lot of the day on Halloween with Hannah's class.  They took a field trip to Curtis Orchard, and I am the room mother for her class, so I got to be involved all day.  My mom also joined me for the fun!  I unfortunately could not bring Lucas on this trip, so Emily kept him and Aleah for me.  It was a hard decision for me to make.  It was the longest I had left him, but it seems like he did pretty well.  He refused to take a bottle, but thankfully he was taking baby food pretty well.
Hannah's 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Wheeler, was also MY 3rd grade reading teacher!  And she still seems young!
Hannah's friends Lily, Anna, & Jillian

I made candy corn colored Jell-O snacks and the other moms brought the rest!

I sneaked down to Jacob's class for a few minutes, too.  I was only in charge of their drinks:
What a fun day!  I can only imagine when they're all 4 in school...

Halloween

This was a super fun Halloween.  The kids picked our theme (Mario) before last year's Halloween had even happened!  We didn't even know if Lucas was a boy or girl, and they said, "the baby can be toad."  I wasn't so sure I loved that idea for a baby's first costume, but in the end, I thought it was hilarious and fun.  We're usually too busy at Trunk or Treat to host a trunk but it worked out well this year:
I made the brick box on top and the ghost balloons and the yellow question marks.
Josh carved a Goomba pumpkin!
You can see it better lit up, along with Hannah's pumpkin:
Hannah and cousin Hadley, what a beautiful Snow White she was:

Downing Cousins

My niece Lydia turned one on October
She and Lucas are 4.5 months apart:

Grandma Jody and Papa Bob got all the kids matching wool sweaters in Ireland this year, so we took cousin pictures as a surprise for them for Christmas. I was happy we got a decent picture with all of them looking.  Not always an easy task with 7 kids 8 and under... and it's mainly the 4 who were 2 and under, with one more to be added very soon!
Some of my favorite outtakes:
