We have been hiking so much at Turkey Run this year, we thought it would be fun to spend the night in one of their cabins! I had no idea they would be in such high demand. I called over Spring Break, and the lady patiently went over availability for the coming year, and I think there was only one night that would work out for both of us, so I took it! It was in the middle of a week in July! We did have to have one of the larger cabins, due to having a larger family, so that was definitely part of it. It was a really fun quick getaway. Here are just some pictures from our adventures:
Lucas is finally getting more comfortable with getting his feet dirty!
Inside a cabin:
A lizard:
Mario mushrooms:
Tadpoles and fish:
A fun restaurant outside of Turkey Run. It was really good!
We've always thought tubing looked fun. The stars have to align for our family on this because the water levels have to be just right to allow for 5-year-old. Luckily the day we were there, the weather was great, and the water levels were down, so we went for it! (Just the day before, it was age 6+)
Hannah was so traumatized by this adventure because she almost bumped into TWO different snakes on land while in her tube. She said she has never been more scared in her entire life!
Our cabin:
It was really nice, but our bed was AWFUL, like I cannot express how AWFUL it was! If we don't do this again, this bed will be the sole reason, haha!
Thirty-Six Saloon in Rockville... The food was good, but the service was TERRIBLE, haha!
We got to use the pool at the INN right next to our cabin:
The arcade at Turkey Run:
It was a great overnighter! We would do it again, especially if they get new beds!
