We had another great week at Vacation Bible School this summer! My main role was to teach the missions segment (4 times every day), and we did something we had never done before.... We had a HUGE service project for the kids to be involved with on Friday! We had a bigger financial goal this year to pull it off, so we asked the congregation to help. We got $4800 of the needed $3700, so the cool thing was that we were able to do the project AGAIN in September with the whole congregation!
Our project was to make a pallet full of food packets to send to Haiti!
I made samples for the church to try one Sunday:
A challenging part of VBS for the last 11 years for me has been having a baby / toddler attached to me, at least during parts of it. It is a LONG week to be in the nursery. I KNOW it will be easier in a year or two, right!?
