Easter is always quite a busy time around here. Sometimes I wish it just consisted of celebrating at church. I love Easter Sunday at church; it is absolutely my favorite Sunday of the year!
This year we had the kids sing on Palm Sunday with palm branches and everything.
It had been a few years since we had done that. My 2s & 3s class was really big that day!
Jacob and Hannah's Sunday School class had an Easter Egg Hunt.
Their teacher, Linda Darr, has so much energy!
The kids made Rice Krispie Treat Easter egg nests with Grandma Teresa to take to Hannibal with us to share with our friends. And it kept them busy while I packed to leave!
The kids loved dying Easter eggs at home!
We had our annual Easter Egg Hunt at church. We got to help hide 3,000 eggs!
Two of Jacob's older buddies at church got baptized on Easter Sunday!
Hayden Chew & Ben Jessup
Hannah found a golden egg right in the middle of the yard. She was SO excited!
Aleah did a little hunting!
I love doing children's ministry with my dear friend Sandy.
Well after the egg hunt was over, three of the staff kids discovered the rest of the missing golden eggs. Apparently someone hid them well. They were very excited to take home the remaining prizes.
The kids got Easter baskets at home, consisting purely of things that I would have gotten for them either way.
The kids were blessed to have hand-me-downs that worked out well for Easter this year. Hannah's dress was Aleah Carder's, Aleah's dress was Hannah's, and Jacob's shirt was from a rummage sale. I did buy him new Ralph Lauren shorts for $5 though!
I thought it was really cool that this was Aleah's second Easter, and she wasn't even 1 year old yet! That doesn't happen too often!
My 2s and 3s class on Easter... and my 4 year old Jacob snuck in.
I loved teaching them that "Jesus is Alive!"
We had a great lunch at my parents' house.
Then we went to White Heath for another Easter dinner, hunt, and baskets.
Jordan and Josh definitely did not plan to be twins, but aren't they cute?
