U of I Labs

Over the years, I have taken Hannah (and sometimes Jacob) to the University of Illinois for lab research studies.  They are usually pretty quick and simple.  Recently, Jacob participated in a study that was a little longer and more in depth where they studied his ability to understand math at the age of three.  He wore sensors on his head to see what parts of his brain were lighting up as he was thinking.
Jacob really enjoyed the study.  We had to go to the lab twice for about 2-3 hours, and he had to do homework on a computer they sent home with us for two weeks.  They said he is quite smart for his age!
Aleah actually also participated in a slightly different study both times we went.  She also wore the sensors that Jacob is wearing above, and then she wore a different type of cap the next time we were there.
Jacob got a T-Shirt, a stuffed animal, and some other little prizes, and Aleah got two new board books.  Mommy got $30 to Amazon.  That's not why we do it, but it is a fun bonus!
