For the 2nd year in a row, mom and I took the kids to the pumpkin patch on my birthday. We bought lots of pumpkins and gourds and then met my dad for lunch in Champaign. Unbelievably, I don't think I got any pictures of our decorated pumpkins, but we did Mr. Potato Head pumpkins this year, which was perfect for our age of children!
We also got to go to dinner with the Downings to celebrate my birthday the same day that I had my 12 week ultrasound, so we let Hannah announce at dinner that "there is a baby in mommy's tummy." And she actually said "baby girl in mommy's tummy." We wouldn't know until 11 weeks later that she was right!
Betsy and I have shared a birthday party forever since our birthdays are only two days apart! We did our 2nd Annual caramel apple party at our birthday celebration this year!
The older I get, the less my birthday seems like a big deal, but I'm thankful for all of my family and friends who make it special!
