This a reminder note for myself in a couple of years....
While the week before Thanksgiving (13th-19th) was a FABULOUS time to be at Disney, here are some things to consider:
You are in charge of Trunk or Treat on October 31st.
Your son's birthday is November 8th.
Thanksgiving is the 22nd (ish).
You might be in charge of a Christmas musical at church (like this year)!
You might also be crazy and host a baby shower in the middle of all of this.
You need to take down your fall decorations and put up your Christmas decorations.
You need to shop for and wrap lots of Christmas gifts for family.
You need to do your Christmas card.
You cannot pack away your summer clothes until AFTER this vacation, so you will have a laundry, sorting mess on your hands.
DO NOT OVERBOOK YOURSELF! Sigh... I cannot get seem to get caught up!
To encourage myself, in the last month, I did: host Trunk or Treat, teach 3 Sundays at church, host a large 1st birthday party at our house, host small group 3 times at our house, babysat my nephew several days, did school pictures with the kids, had two doctor appointments, attended a funeral visitation, helped with lots of children's Christmas musical practices, attended Festival of Trees, went to Disney World for 7 days, went to 2 Thanksgiving celebrations, shopped on Black Friday, hosted a baby shower, had friends over for games, decorated the house for Christmas, designed and ordered 2 Shutterfly books and Christmas cards, packed away summer clothes, sorted through hand-me-downs,...not to mention cleaning, dishes, laundry, E-MAILS out my ears, paperwork, blogging, phone calls, cooking, and oh yeah, taking care of my two small children! So it's not like I'm not getting anything done... :)
