Jacob's 3rd Month

Today is Jacob's 3 month birthday.  I have loved this month.  His growing slowed down a little bit (which I am totally ok with!).  He is almost 15 pounds, so he actually gained less than 2 pounds.
The highlight of this month is definitely Jacob's smiles.  He loves to smile and coo back and forth with me.  I LOVE it!  This is such a great stage.  I just try to treasure every single day with him.  I am so blessed to be with him every day.
His sleeping is going ok.  Of course, Hannah was sleeping through the night at this point, but Jacob still gets up once or twice a night.  But, he just eats and then falls back asleep, so I really don't mind it at all.  He sleeps next to me in bed a lot.  He's so content laying next to me; I love it!  He did sleep 8 or 9 hours a couple of times, but it's usually 4-6 hours at a time.  I don't count anything under 8 as "sleeping through the night" though because I need at least 8 hours!
Jacob's baby dedication was this month.  My family and Josh's dad's family was there to see the dedication.  I love how this day is a special time for families, but I also love seeing all of these babies with their future classmates.  I pray that they will all be strong Christians and will be there for each other through school.

Jacob rolled over for the first time at 11 weeks.  He did it at least 5 times in a row, but he hasn't done it since then!
I really felt like Hannah was an easy baby, but I feel like Jacob is possibly even easier just because I know what I am doing much better this time. Mainly, I understand his sleeping and eating needs more than I did when Hannah was this age. I also gave in this month and gave Jacob a pacifier. I never gave Hannah one; well I can't say NEVER, but I could literally count the number of times she used one. I just didn't want to deal with taking it away later. I really didn't think that Jacob needed one either, but a couple of people said that they thought I should try one for him. I reluctantly gave in, but I will humbly admit that it has been very helpful (and it probably would have been for Hannah too).  I guess I still have some things to learn.... :)
