Jacob's 4th Grade Year

Jacob's 4th grade year was such an odd year, due to the nationwide pandemic.  Thankfully, he was still able to see some normalcy.  He went to school half days the whole year with a mask on, and he got to play fall baseball and church league basketball.  It will be interesting to see how he looks back and remembers this time!

First day of school after 5+ months off!

This was supposed to be Jacob's first year playing youth football, but with the season canceled due to Covid, we settled for fall baseball in Danville instead.  We were so glad he got to play!

He's a growing boy!  January 1st, 2021:
Jake got glasses!  He has complained for awhile that he had a hard time seeing the board, but the doctor wanted to hold off until this year; he said it was time.  His vision isn't too bad, but it is much improved at school, he said.  We also help him put contacts in for sports.
He, of course, chose Illini colors without hesitation:

I made parfaits for his V-Day party at school.  They were surprisingly a HUGE hit!

This was the first (and we hope only) time that Jake and Landon have been on opposing teams!  Boo!

Watching their sisters play on the same team:
I obviously cannot resist buying this boy ice cream:

Completely unplanned boys slumber party at our house.  It was apparent by 9 pm or so that they weren't leaving, haha.  I love it:

Jake did a couple of summer baseball camps:

More ice cream?  Yep, I love this kid!
