COBRAS - 10U

We had another fun year of Cobras baseball!  We had planned to play in 5 tournaments this year, but we ended up playing in 4 (due to a cancellation in Covington), plus a couple of double headers against Monticello and the Mahomet Mavericks.  Our tournaments were in Peoria, Covington, Mahomet, and Rantoul.  They all ended up being 1 day, aside from Rantoul.  The Peoria tournament rained out after pool play, so that was actually just a double header, even though we were there for 2 nights.  The Covington tournament was a really long, one day event where we played 5 games in a day (we got 2nd).  It was supposed to be 2 days, but they condensed it to 1.  It was too much for one day!  Mahomet was also a one day event, after losing 3 in a row.  And Rantoul was 3 days, with one game each day.

Jacob played really well.  He batted well and almost always managed to get on base.  He also made some super impressive plays at 3rd base!  He loves baseball, and if he's not playing, he wishes he was.  That makes it fun for all of us!

I take way too much video and pictures at games, I know, and who knows how much we'll ever look at them, but I have to document (he's so handsome in his baseball uniform).  So have fun checking out some of these shots:

After the championship game in Covington.  It was such a long, hot day.
We were all exhausted.  I said we played one game too many that day!

Playing in Rantoul on turf for the first time!
He's REALLY fast and good at stealing and sliding!

Rain delay in Mahomet brought a double rainbow!

Jake and Landon both on base:

I love this kid, and I love watching him play!  He loves baseball!
