Hannah - 5th Grade Basketball

Hannah played her first school sport this year!  Fifth grade basketball!  It was a 7 week season, so it sounded low commitment.  When we got the schedule and saw that it would be 4-5 nights a week at the south campus, Josh and I really were unsure.  But, our good friend Aaron (who was also coaching) insisted that she was playing and that he would drive her to every practice.  I'm pretty sure I could not have done it without him.  So thankful!  Her team was really big, and they tried to keep playing time fairly even, so that meant they each only played about 8 minutes a game.  Hannah had a few minor injuries during the 7 weeks which affected her playing ability in a few games, but she definitely improved over the season, and her last game of the year was her best!

She's pretty tough on defense:
Josh had to talk to her a lot about how / when to set a screen...
Her mama can only help her with cheerleading...

Her team finished the season UNDEFEATED!  Almost all of their games were an absolute blowout (like 30-2 ish).  Armstrong played a tough game, but we came out on top.

The 6th graders were also undefeated.  They could be tough in HS!
Hannah had 6 points in her last game, including making two free throws
(first time ever shooting free throws)!
The team got to be in the Homecoming parade, which was a lot of fun for Hannah!
It was her first time!
She's looking forward to playing again next year!
