Hannah, Jacob, and I all got to run in two 5k races this spring. Aunt Betsy got us started. She got 5K registrations for Hannah and Jacob for Christmas! I decided to join the crew in case anyone lagged behind (well that ended up being no concern, haha). Neither one of the kids had ever run more than a mile before that night, but they did great! Jacob finished in 30:43 (trying not to leave everyone too far in the dust), and Hannah finished at 32:23. Not too shabby for their first race!
Then about a month later, Josh and I did the color run with the kids for the Strawberry Festival. None of us had done one before. We underestimated how messy it would be and how hard it would be to get the color off! They didn't time us, but I was told that Jacob finished at the front of the pack, along with the HS Cross Country boys. I might have a couple of runners on my hands!
