Josh and I tried to sneak a few dates in during 2017. We went to see Jim Gaffigan with my siblings; we went to an Illini football game alone; we went to the Festival of Trees Gala; we went to my cousin Molly's wedding; we went to dinner for our engagement anniversary and for our wedding anniversary; we went out (with Lucas) for Josh's birthday; we went to my staff Christmas party... not too bad... although most of those "dates" were with other people, at least we were off kid duty! Big thanks to my parents, Josh's Aunt Sherry, Aunt Betsy, and the Chew crew for babysitting!

Miga & Starbucks for our Engagiversary
Red Lobster for our Anniversary
Newsies, Illini Football, & Biaggi's, early b-day for Josh
My mom put together this quilt for our anniversary. The top was done by my great grandmother, Emma Hazel Etta Smith Sudlow. She completed it by adding the backing to it!
We will try to keep doing better on date nights. It's not easy right now, but we're counting down the years until we can have Hannah babysit! We figure we're 10 years in.... with less than 5 to go until we can go to dinner again without too much trouble, haha! I started babysitting other families when I was 11. I babysat my own siblings sooner than that.... maybe 9 or 10? And Hannah will be 10 this year! We're not there, but we're getting close!
