Well here it is, the end of March, and we're just not sure if winter is over. We never got a "really good" snow in my opinion. But now, we have a threatened winter storm tonight, on March 23rd, so we'll see! Here are some of our random, winter activities:
Hannah got to attend two Salt Fork Basketball games this winter. For the first one, my parents picked her up and took her. I'm pretty sure that's the first time Hannah was "picked up" and taken somewhere while Josh and I were at home. It felt kind of funny, like she was grown up. "Oh, Hannah's just running out the door for the basketball game!" The next time, I took both of the kids with my mom while Josh was in Dallas for work. Popcorn & M&Ms entertained us for awhile!
Mom and I took the kids to the indoor park at First Christian Church one day. They had fun, and then we did a little shopping and eating in Champaign. We tried out the new Buca di Beppo. I was more impressed than my mom with the food. She's a food snob-ha!
We had a few play-doh days with our new play-doh from Christmas.
We went to the church park in January! It wasn't too cold, so we took advantage of it!
Hannah gave out Valentines for the first time. She took La La Loopsy Valentines to her Thursday school.
The kids and I played in the snow one day, but when Jacob saw the fence to our neighbor's pool, he couldn't stop thinking about summer. He just kept crying that he wanted to go to the "beach and sand." This continued for 20 minutes after coming inside. I'm with you, buddy!!!
One cold day in March, we decided to make homemade ice cream to wish in spring. (That and I had some whipping cream that needed used up!)
