A212 Girls - Charleston, SC

I had such an amazing opportunity to go on a weekend getaway to Charleston, SC with five of my best friends from college.  It was such a blessing, such a life giving trip as many of the other girls said.  I will admit, it is out of my comfort zone to fly byself.  It is out of my comfort zone to leave my family.  In fact, in ten years of being a mom, I had never been this long without children.  But this trip was literally 5 years in the making, waiting through pregnancies and adoptions and nursng babies.  And it was no small feat to get 6 mamas away from their 20 children for a long weekend.  But we did.  And it was so worth it.  And I am so glad.  And so blessed.  Here is a glimpse of our time together:

We had ice cream EVERY DAY:

Oh, it was so hard to say good-bye.  It might be years before I see some of these girls again.  But we have plans to do it again, in another city, in three years.  And I can't wait!
Here's a look at the restaurants we hit.  Kristina was our AMAZING itinerary planner.  Seriously, our trip would not have been half as good without all of her work.  So appreciated!
Kristina came way more prepared than me.  But I carried on so I packed light!
These are the beautiful cookies that Kristina made to bring to us.  Long story short, we didn't get to eat them, but I still LOVE to look at the picture.  So much love here.
It's hard to explain, but I think this trip could have been life changing.  It rejuvenated our friendships and brought us closer together.  I can't wait to see what the future holds for this group of girls.  I love them all so much.  Here's to 2021!

I hosted a baby sprinkle for a lady in our moms' group who is expecting her 2nd baby girl!

We had a fun night just hanging out, eating dessert, and showering Alexis with gifts for baby girl!

Homecoming Week

My kids always have fun dressing up for homecoming week.  There was a different theme each day:
Animal Day:

Class Color Day (Red & Lime Green):
Favorite Sports Team Day:
Hippie Day:
School Spirit Day:
We went to the parade on Friday afternoon, an annual tradition.  I love that my grandparents' old house is in the background:
A few week later, Hannah did a cheer camp with the HS girls and performed at half-time.  Aleah had fun dressing up for the game with her:

I have a feeling we MIGHT have two future Salt Fork cheerleaders on our hands!

Reeves Reunion

We got to host a "Reeves Reunion" at our house while my Grandpa and Grandma Reeves were in town from Florida!  All of my siblings families came, as well as my parents and my mom's siblings and most of their kids.

We got to celebrate my cousin Sam's 11th Birthday that day as well!
And Hannah got Uncle Art to take her for a cruise in his convertible.  She's in love!

We are really enjoying having a house that can accommodate large groups of people!

Papa Steve's 70th Birthday!

We got to host Papa Steve's 70th birthday party here at our house!
We had a really fun night with family!

Papa Steve never would have thought that his 2 boys would have 8 children in a matter of 8.5 years!  He loves his grandkids, but he also tells us that he hopes we're done, haha!
Happy 70th, Papa Steve!  Here's to many more!

First Day of School!

It's the start of a new school year!  Hannah is in 4th grade; Jacob is in 2nd grade; Aleah is going to preschool (just 10 hours a week); and Lucas is still home with me every day!

Jacob's teacher is Mrs. Summers:
He gets to be in Landon's class this year.  He was so excited!
Hannah's teacher is Mrs. Drake:
Aleah is going to our church preschool and has Mrs. Paige and Mrs. Leslie:

It's always sad for me when summer comes to an end but I was happy to still have these two with me:
