I hesitate to even say this "out loud," but it has been unusually quiet around here lately. Like, I've tackled reorganizing the basement kind of quiet. You only do that if you're really caught up. Hmm... weird. I love these kinds of weeks, just relaxing, reading books to the kids, catching up on my magazine stack (I'm like a year behind...), organizing kids clothes, planning menus with new recipes, tackling church projects that I don't always have time for, etc. It's been good. And I know, this is just the calm before the storm. Next week is quiet. And then, it's going to get CRAZY. Crazy fun, I hope!!
In the final weeks of August we have lots of plans: Josh is going to a Chicago Cubs game with his dad and brother for his 30th birthday. Hannah and I are taking an overnight trip the following week to Chicago to go to American Girl with Josh's mom. We are having 3 family birthday parties for Josh & Hannah. We are planning to check out the Terre Haute Children's Museum for Hannah's b-day (that could get cut?). Josh & I are going to a Colts game in Indianapolis!! We're going to the Opening Illini football game. Then in September, Hannah starts preschool (just one day a week for two hours). And, we go to MYRTLE BEACH for 8 days!!! And then a week later, it's my 30th birthday!
So, I'm just taking a deep breath and trying to be prepared for craziness and fun! I'm so excited about it all, I could get giddy!!!!
