The Little Mermaid

DLO did a production of The Little Mermaid, and since we knew several people in the show, I decided to take the girls:
We got to sit next to one of Hannah's BFFs, Lily Georges:

One of their other BFFs, Anna McCollum, was in the show:

We also saw Josh's Aunt Penny and Uncle Mike at the show,
and they bought the girls crowns, so sweet!

My 35th Birthday!

I had a very nice 35th birthday.  I got to celebrate with my sister Betsy like we do every year since our birthdays are 2 days apart.
My kids had the day off school, so we got to go to Champaign to meet daddy for lunch at the new Portillo's.

We had a custard cup cake that night for dessert!
And over the weekend, Josh took me to The Covered Bridge Festival.  It was Homecoming in Catlin, so we couldn't find a babysitter to save our lives, so we took everybody!  It wasn't easy, but I'm glad we did it.  I got an adorable new WELCOME sign for my porch.
Erika made me a new Disney shirt which I love.
I took the pic from this angle to show my shirt, haha:

Homecoming Week

SFNE always does dress-up days for Homecoming week which is really fun for the kids.  Jacob's teacher is great at sharing pictures with parents, which I love:

And of course we ended our week at the Homecoming parade and football game!

Girls Shopping Day!

Grandma Jody took the girls on a shopping trip to Indy for Hannah's 9th birthday.  They got back to school clothes, Christmas outfits, and Aleah got her first American Girl doll at the pop-up shop they had in Indy this year.

She really wanted a cold shoulder shirt:
Aleah picked out several outfits that Hannah did not get:

Grandma Jody picked out Lucas' Christmas outfit which was so cute:
We also got Jacob's Christmas clothes:
and we couldn't resist this "J" sweater:
Somehow Aleah talked Grandma into 2 pairs of shoes.....

Hannah's clothes mostly had to be ordered since she's in a 10/12 now.
The shop only carries through size 6 in store:

The girls still LOVE to pick out matching outfits.  I'm afraid it's going to get harder in a few years, once Hannah is in size 14+, so we'll try to enjoy it while we can!
